Bryan SandsResearch Scientist
Bryan is interested in basic gene expression controls, in particular, the mechanisms and consequences of extreme allele bias (different groups refer to this as intrinsic noise, stochastic autosomal allele expression bias, allele specific expression, or monoallelic expression). Before studying gene expression in C. elegans, Bryan worked on various molecular and genomic technologies in both academia and industry, including therapeutics, vaccines and immunotherapies for infectious disease, cancer and neurodegeneration.
